Welcome to iPokeU. These Terms of Service govern your use of the app. By creating an account or using iPokeU, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use iPokeU. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the app.
2. Your account
You sign up using your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens through it. Usernames must not impersonate others, infringe on trademarks, or violate the reserved name policy.
3. The service
iPokeU lets you send and receive "pokes" — lightweight emotional gestures — to confirmed friends. Some poke types are free; others are premium and consume in-app currency ("pokes") which can be earned for free or purchased.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or abuse another person
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the app or its backend services
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to create accounts or send pokes
- Upload profile photos that are sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise illegal
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. In-app purchases
iPokeU offers optional in-app purchases ("Poke Packs") and subscriptions for premium pokes. All purchases are processed through Google Play Billing or Apple's In-App Purchase system and are subject to their respective terms. Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or platform policy. Subscriptions, when available, auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date through your app store account settings.
6. Advertising
iPokeU may show optional rewarded video advertisements. Watching an ad is always your choice — we do not show interruptive or forced advertising.
7. User content
You retain ownership of any content you upload, such as profile photos. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to display it within the app to your confirmed friends. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The iPokeU name, logo, Capy mascot, animations, and all related branding are the property of iPokeU. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission.
9. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account within the app. This will permanently remove your account, pokes, and friend connections. If you need help, contact us at support@ipokeu.app.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, iPokeU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
