iPokeU is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what we need to make the app work, we don't sell your data to anyone, and we never will. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your username and email address. We do not collect your real name.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use the app, including pokes sent and received, friend connections, and activity within the app. This data is used solely to provide and improve the iPokeU service.
Device information. We may collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications when you receive a poke or a friend request. This token is stored securely and used only for that purpose.

- Provide and operate the iPokeU service
- Send push notifications when you receive pokes or friend requests
- Personalise your experience (level, tier, poke count)
- Maintain the security and integrity of the platform
- Improve the app based on usage patterns
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which complies with industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit. We implement Firestore security rules to ensure users can only access their own data and the data of their confirmed friends.
5. Third-party services
iPokeU uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
- Expo — mobile app infrastructure and push notifications
- Stripe — payment processing (where applicable)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (where applicable)
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Some anonymised usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.
7. Children's privacy
iPokeU is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at privacy@ipokeu.app and we will delete it promptly.

You have the right to:
